The Untouched Edge of Kagoshima Floating off the western coast of Kagoshima, Koshikishima is an unspoiled sanctuary. Defined by towering sea cliffs and deep green mountains, it offers a rare glimpse into the rugged beauty of rural Japan, far from mass tourism.

Authentic Island Life Experience the true rhythm of the island alongside a local eco-guide. You will walk through historic samurai villages lined with moss-covered stone walls and savor hyper-local cuisine—from luxurious seafood bowls to traditional breakfasts of homemade tofu and dried fish at your charming inn, Fujiya Hostel.

The Rare Kanoko Lily The highlight of your trip is a 30-minute scenic hike to "Mitchiri Sogen." Designated as a National Natural Monument in 2026, this secluded plateau is home to Japan's largest colony of wild Kanoko Lilies.

Depending on your travel dates, you will see:

  • July: Vibrant orange daylilies reach their peak just as the Kanoko Lilies begin to bloom.

  • August: The undisputed season of the Kanoko Lily, transforming the meadow into a breathtaking expanse of vibrant pink.

Physical Requirements:
The path to the Lily Meadow requires a 30-minute uphill hike. For your safety and enjoyment, participants must be confident in their physical mobility and comfortable walking on unpaved trails.

What to Bring:
Comfortable trekking shoes, layered rain gear, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and insect repellent.

Includes:
- Transportation: Round-trip fast ferry tickets (Sendai Port ↔ Koshikishima) and all transportation within the island during the tour
- Accommodation: 1-night stay at FUJIYA HOSTEL
- Meals: 4 meals in total (Day 1: Lunch & Dinner / Day 2: Breakfast & Lunch)

10:00 Guided Eco-Tour: Explore the historic Samurai residence street lined with round-stone walls, and take in the panoramic views from the Nagamenohama Viewpoint
12:00  Lunch: Enjoy seafood lunch featuring fresh local catches

Afternoon Visit Torinosuyama Observation Deck and the Koshiki Museum
